City Will Bear All Hospitalization Costs For Suicide Bomb Victims

Around 13 people who were victims of a suicide bomb blast last night at Kampung Melayu Terminal Bus Stop get an intensive treatment at four hospitals. Jakarta Provincial Government will cover the entire cost of care for the victims.

East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana disclosed, there are currently 13 victims hospitalized at four hospitals. These hospitals are Premier Jatinegara, Hermina, Polri Kramat Jati and Budi Asih.

"The government will bear all hospitalization costs," he expressed, at the scene, Thursday (5/25).

According to him, it is the city's commitment to help its citizens who experience disaster. Such as medical handling, Jakarta Health Dept. will quickly take over it.

At the same time, East Jakarta Health Sub-dept. Head, Iwan Kurniawan added, Jakarta Health Dept. immediately coordinates with such hospitals.

"Of 13 victims, 2 out of them will undergo a surgery this morning. They who suffered a broken bone in his arm are hospitalized at Budi Asih RSUD and Premier Jatinegara Hospital," he told.

Until 2.30 AM, Polda Metro Jaya Gegana (bomb squad) Team ranks are still investigating the case at the scene. To optimize it, a police line has been fitted in Kampung Melayu Terminal area. 

Hundreds of armies and police are still on guard at the scene. Brimob armed troops with a long barrel are also seen on guard.
